For some time ago I ordered large photos, and when I say large, I really mean large! The height on this one was over 31cm and width was something like 50cm. So I even had to cut it down to fit the canvas!

The hinges are real hinges and I used the original screws to adhere it with. Everything except hinges, crown on the birdie and beauty decoration are Tim Holtz!
The edges are painted with dabbers and the photo got some smudges from a white one. I don’t think you can see it, but the edges also have a coat of crackle paint - Rock Candy

The butterflies have been embossed with CB folders, inked with distress inks and got a layer of distress stickles.
The fern got the same treatment as the butterflies, the flowers too except for the embossing part. The birdie have been inked and them misted with Copper. The crown was silver from the beginning and that didn’t fit so I colored it with the alcoinks Copper and Espresso.
This lovely metal decoration has been made using Ten Seconds Metal Sheets, which can be bought at www.cropstop.com and at www.pysseltagen.se. I started with using my embossing set to the Slice along with the Vintage Findings designcard. When that was done I covered it up with alcoinks, Copper and Rust. I let it dry a bit and then started to drip the color Espresso inside the letters, let it dry for a bit… I just hate waiting!
When it was almost dry (it might take a few minutes when it’s a thick layer!) I dipped a Cut n’ Dry nib into blending solution and started to wipe off the ink from the “mountains” on the design. Leaving the ink inside and letting the silver come through and the word became more visible. Then I cut it out and used one of those spiky sew thingys you use to mark the lines on fabric.
It look quite cool, it almost seem to have different looks depending from which side you look at it.

Hope this gives some inspiration on what you can do with both the Slice and the metal sheets!
